Last Friday night, Montegoneans turned out in their numbers to the Blue Beat Bar on Gloucester Avenue, to welcome Vein Centers of Jamaica to the Second City.
Vein Centers, which provides specialised care for the treatment of varicose and spider veins, is the only medical centre in Jamaica to offer a non-surgical approach to dealing with this condition.
Several medical practitioners showed up to welcome this new and vital service to Western Jamaica as they enjoyed the full complement of appetisers and alcoholic beverages.
President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce, Nathan Robb, who could very well launch a new career in comedy, gave a pleasant welcome message laced with humour.
However, he was careful to point out that the Chamber was pleased with the addition of Vein Centers of Jamaica to Montego Bay's medical services.
"Medical facilities are always welcomed, as they reduce the need for people to go into Kingston for certain specialised treatments," he highlighted.
Principal partners Hillary Brown and Bart Muhs, both expressed their commitment to delivering quality and affordable care to varicose veins sufferers across Western Jamaica.
"For years, people were doing actual surgery to treat varicose veins; but we are offering them a new and improved technique that does not require surgery, and which was not available to the general population before now," said Brown.
"We want to provide care in a responsible manner that gives high-quality treatment at an affordable cost," added Muhs.
