THE EDITOR, Sir:
Generations of young Jamaicans yet unborn, especially those who will become athletes, owe Anne Shirley a debt of tremendous gratitude. She is a woman of great courage and integrity. If she did not have the interests of Jamaica at heart, she would not have made such a great effort to get the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission fully compliant with its role of regular testing of Jamaican athletes.
Corruption is the driving force in Jamaican society and those who will come to the top of anything in Jamaican society and remain at the top will have to be corrupt. Such are her detractors who are out to vilify her. Oh, the strength of a woman!
Why don't the men in JADCO take their responsibility seriously? Is it just the shadow of manhood that exists in the organisation?
