In the day's other game, former champions Excelsior will battle hosts St Jago in group B at Spanish Town Prison Oval, starting at 3 p.m.
The Leebert Halliman-coached Excelsior, who won back-to-back titles in 2003 and 2004, kicked off their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Waterford on Monday. Kareem Banton and Romaine Hosang, who netted for Excelsior in their opening match, will lead their team's hunt for goals.
St Jago are seeking their first win, after battling to an exciting 2-2 draw with Norman Manley in their opening game on Monday.
In today's feature, Hydel will start slight favourites over their opponents in today's contest. The Geoffrey Maxwell-coached Hydel were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by Edith Dalton James in their opening game on Monday.
"Every game that we play we intend to win," said Maxwell. "We respect our opponents because they are an experienced team, and so we know that it's not going to be an easy game for us."
Maxwell added: "I think we need to take the game more seriously, because I think we didn't respond to the Edith Dalton James team until the last 15 minutes of that game, and so we have to make sure that we make a strong start against STATHS."
Meanwhile, STATHS began their campaign on a losing note, going down 2-0 to Ascot on Monday.
