THE EDITOR, Sir:
I write in response to Rico's letter in The Gleaner of Wednesday, September 18, 2013 titled 'Bangarang if party boss not opposition leader'.
I am sure that we had this scenario before when the PNP was in Opposition and the party leader Norman Manley lost in his bid to win a seat. The leader of the Opposition in the House at that time was Dr Ivan Lloyd, member of parliament from St Ann.
I would be grateful if one of our noted political historians like Troy Caine or Arnold Bertram could either confirm this or set me straight.
