National Commercial Jamaica Limited (NCB) said Tuesday that Deputy Group Managing Director Dennis Cohen will in 2014 assume responsibility for group finance with the pending departure of current officeholder Yvonne Clarke.
Clarke and another executive Marjorie Seeberan will demit office at the end of December.
A replacement is yet to be identified for Seeberan, who heads the Corporate Banking Division, but NCB said the position would be filled by the time she leaves office.
Seeberan wants to pursue other interests after 10 years with NCB, the bank said.
The executive changes are happening in the midst of restructuring of the banking group to conform with new banking rules being formulated for financial conglomerates. The bank is also positioning for expansion into Caribbean markets via its wealth arm, NCB Capital Markets and its holdings.
"A review of the organisational structure at all levels, to enable optimal operational efficiency and effectiveness, gave rise to the changes that will impact the current role of GCFO," said NCB.
Clarke has been with the bank since 2000.
