Denham Town High and St Catherine High will square-off in a crucial Group C clash in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/LIME Manning Cup football competition at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex today, starting at 3:30 p.m.
The Denham Town team completed the first half of the preliminary round unbeaten on 13 points from five games, the same as Wolmer's Boys, but the latter enjoy a superior goal difference. St Catherine remain in contention in third position on nine points. Papine come next on four points, followed by Kingston Technical High (2) and Clan Carthy (1).
Today, Denham Town will look to continue their impressive run in the group and pull further away from St Catherine. St Catherine need a win in order to stay closer to the leaders.
In the teams' first meeting, Denham Town won 2-1 away and now playing at home must be confident of pulling off another win against their opponents.
Wolmer's blanked KTHS 6-0 in the first game between the teams and are highly fancied to win convincingly again.
Meanwhile, the rescheduled encounter between Ardenne High and St Andrew College that was set for yesterday was not played due to a water-logged playfield at Ardenne High.
In another rescheduled game, Edith Dalton James beat St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) 2-0 at STATHS playing field.
