Power of Faith Ministries (PFM) showed that they are the queens of church netball after their impressive 30-16 triumph over Lighthouse Assemblies in the final of the Power of Faith Ministries Church Netball League at the PFM Sports Complex last Saturday.
PFM's goal shooter, Melonie Bailey, was the MVP of the final. She had a game-high 22 goals from 25 attempts. Goal attack Debbie-Ann Coghiel played a supporting role and hit eight of 13 shots. Lighthouse had their best shooter, Brittany Thompson, playing a non-shooting role early in the match, and when she was eventually given the goal shooting position, it was a bit too late as the game drifted from their grasp.
Thompson was on target with seven of nine shots while her teammate, goal attack Keysha Osbourne, ended with nine of 19.
In the play-off for their third place, Harmony Gospel Chapel defeated Christian Fellowship World Outreach Church 21-17. Harmony's goal shoot, Rosemarie Francis, was the star of the game, with 18 goals from 21 attempts.
