For the second year in a row, a Jamaican beauty has been crowned Miss Black Nude.
The 2013 staging of the event was won by St Andrew's Alcie Edwards.
Edwards, 30, a stevedore coordinator at the wharves in Kingston and a mother of two won the provocative, jaw-dropping pageant at Hedonism 11 in Negril last Saturday after a nail-biting contest.
She snatched the crown, a US cash purse and a Hedo vacation package for two from a field of 10 overseas and local finalists.
"I am really very thrilled at this surprise win and I would love to use my victory to pay tribute to all the hard-working single moms out there," Edwards told The Gleaner.
"I entered the pageant for experience. I wanted to challenge myself in a competition and I also wanted to see how well a cultural woman like myself would do," Edwards said.
"I am not conceited but I am aware that I am seen as a rare Nubian treasure", she continued.
The girls competed in four sections: swimwear, evening gown, talent, and the all-important nude section.
The other two spots up for grabs were also gobbled up by Jamaicans, Chevoloy Dawkins from Montego Bay in second place and Chaliece Morgan from Kingston in third place.
One delegate, the beautiful daughter of a reggae legend cried openly - tears of disappointment - after the results were announced and she was not included in the top three slots.
The Miss Black Nude pageant is 20 years old and began in Washington, DC and over the years, some of the winners have used their cash prize to fund their college education.
The pageant is one of the most repeated shows on the HBO network and every year it brings in hundreds of curious devotees to Hedonism II where a jam-packed and exciting schedule of activities allows the delegates to interface with guests prior to coronation night.
"It is 2013 and Miss Black Nude is not just about a beautiful body but it encompasses intellect, talent and class wrapped up in an alluring package," the new queen declared.
