Norman Manley High's leading goalscorer, Jamoly Green, is back in training while he recovers from a head injury sustained during a Group 'B' Manning Cup match at Excelsior High on Friday, September 20.
Ten minutes into the game there was a horrific clash of heads between the Norman Manley forward and Excelsior's Colorado Murray. Green fell to the ground unconscious while bleeding profusely from his mouth. He regained consciousness shortly after and was rushed to hospital. Murray was treated on the field and resumed playing.
Green who returned to school last Wednesday received stitches to the inside of his mouth and is currently recovering fairly well.
Alrick Clarke, the coach of Norman Manley, said the player will miss a few matches.
"He is doing well after being out of school and missing training for a couple of days. We are glad to see him making progress after the injury," Clarke said on Friday.
