Women have always gravitated towards bright colours, especially during summer and spring. Now, the idea of wearing more colours and patterns has begun to take form for fashionable men. The latest trend for men this season: two-toned shoes.
The style hit the international fashion world in spring of last year and has been trending ever since. It has been no different in Jamaica. Flair paid a visit to Collectibles Shoes in Mall Plaza to find out a little bit more about the current style. Richard Swaby, store supervisor, explained in a recent interview that the two-toned shoes reached the store last spring. "I started seeing the trend last spring and it has gained popularity since then. Sales since the summer have been pretty, good. The shoes may vary in style, but still provide the same traditional comfort required for and appreciated in any pair of shoes," noted Swaby.
This style of shoes is offered in popular brands such as Kenneth Cole, Clarks, Stacy Adams, La Milano and Skechers.
Two-toned shoes do not appeal to everyone, but for those who dare to be different, or who just want to try something new, a splash of colour will give new life to the wardrobe.
