Following the launch of The Gleaner's Food Month, our signature Restaurant Week was launched last Thursday. That
has fuelled the fire and has participating restaurants and Food Month
sponsors very excited! Can you feel it? Have you made your reservations
It is a good form of advertisement. Regular advertisement can't give us this kind of exposure and reach out to so many people. We have the regulars who come in and those who return for Restaurant Week. Once the food is good, they will come back outside of Restaurant Week and sample the different offerings on the menu.
During Restaurant Week, a lot of people get out just to see what the restaurants have to offer, especially with the discounted rates. If I wasn't working, I would make an extra effort to visit other restaurants to sample their offerings as well.

Any focus that is put on showcasing food and providing an avenue for culinary alterations to be displayed should be good for business. Regulars use the opportunity to try different things on the menu, utilising the discounted prices. It also gives us the opportunity to give the restaurant some well-needed exposure.
