With the devaluation of the Jamaican dollar, many Jamaicans will welcome the great news of being able to purchase basic food items at discounted prices.

To help ease the burden on consumers, The Gleaner Company has partnered with Nestlé, HD Hopwood, Ramsons, Facey Commodity and Progressive Grocers to offer more than 30 deals in 30 days through the Progressive supermarkets islandwide, during Food Month.

For the entire month of November, all 25 Progressive Grocers supermarkets across the island will offer discounts on a wide range of everyday items in over 36 categories. Each week will see a variety of items being discounted. The discounts will be redeemable with Gleaner coupons to be published in this newspaper and The STAR. Each coupon is valid only for the week that the product is being discounted, and it will be one coupon per item. So look out for the lists of discounted brands of meats and seafoods, dairy products, baby foods, oils and margarine and baking products, among others. You can't afford to miss out on this tremendous opportunity to save!
