The evangelist wife of a 65-year-old Anglican minister from Mandeville, Manchester, remains in hospital today after she was shot, allegedly by her husband.
Up to late yesterday, the police had neither charged the man nor released his name.
Information reaching The Sunday Gleaner is that the couple became embroiled in an argument at their Knowles Road home.
A gun was pulled and the wife shot in the chest. She reportedly ran from the house screaming for help.
A Sunday Gleaner source said the husband fled the scene, passing members of a police team who were summoned by the residents after the shots were fired.
There are unconfirmed reports that a man was hit by the alleged perpetrator while fleeing the scene.
