One of the University of the West Indies' (UWI), Mona, annual water parties, Mask A Raid, promises to deliver another mind-blowing experience to its loyal followers tonight. It will be held at the Mona Bowl Sand Pit, dubbed the Water Park for the occasion.
The party is staged by the Aston Preston Hall at UWI, Mona, and promises to carry on its legacy of delivering clean, high-energy entertainment until 2 a.m. DJs booked to deliver musical juggling for the party-thirsty patrons are ZJ Chrome, DJ Nicco, DJ Illusion, ZJ Ice, and DJ Kaniva.
Gates to Mask A Raid will be open as early as 8 p.m. and patrons are encouraged to turn out early in order to get full value for their money. The partygoers will be charged $800 at the gate and presold tickets are $600. Females will be admitted on a 2-4-1 deal before 10 p.m. Tickets for Mask A Raid are available at The Spot Bar and Grill, Salon Splurt and Aston Preston Hall, all at UWI, and UTech Students' Union.
For those who wish a more premium experience, there is a VIP area available for $1,800, presold only.
The theme for this year's staging of Mask A Raid is Aqua Loco and the organisers are aiming to make a grand statement. They have added more water features, so there will now be mega slides, mega bars, mist rooms, foam cannons, an impressive five water trucks, and a detox bar.
Mask A Raid is sponsored by Smirnoff and patrons are advised to drink responsibly. In addition, persons attending Mask A Raid must be 18 years or older and provide a valid ID for admission. The Mona Bowl Sand Pit/Water Park has a designated parking area in which hired security and police personnel will be posted.
Mask A Raid is also sponsored by Heineken, Boom Energy Drink, Red Stripe, Domino's, UIM Records, Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Salon Splurt, Wata, and Jamaica Blue.
