Ashley Coulson is a lower sixth-form student at Titchfield High School in Portland. She is 17 years old, and has 11 CSEC distinctions. Her ambition is to become a doctor.
I WILL work to make Jamaica a better place by playing my role in contributing positively to the society and the development of younger persons, who are the country's future."
Coulson explained that her choice of career was influenced by the needs of residents in her community, many of whom are unable to afford quality health care.
I will work to make Jamaica a better place by becoming a doctor, so as to provide health care to those who are unable to afford such services.
I want to be 'the doctor' who is willing to assist patients, even though they might not be able to afford money for such services. Additionally, I would also like to build a surgery in Portland, where people can access health care at a low cost.
