L.P. Azar will sponsor the Sunday meet at Caymanas Park on October 27, offering free bets of $10,000 each to five lucky punters at the track, among other things.
However, the winners will be required to wager the full $10,000 on a select race.
According to the newly appointed deputy chairman of Caymanas Track Limited, Andrew Azar, punters entering Caymanas Park will be required to fill out their names and drop them in a box.
"There will be five drawings of these names from the fifth to the 10th race and each winner will receive $10,000 worth of free bets to be wagered on the race for which it was drawn.
"This is our way of giving back to punters. Any one of the five could double their money or win as much as $50,000, depending on their luck," said Azar.
Azar further stated that his company will host a number of mentally and physically challenged children from STEPS in the afternoon.
"We did this on a large scale for the year's first Sunday meet on August 25, hosting more than 300 youths drawn mostly from Father Richard HoLung's Missionaries of the Poor," he recalled.
"However, this will be on a much smaller scale, but I am sure the gesture will be appreciated," he added.
Azar reiterated that the beautification and upgrading of Caymanas Park and its facilities is high on his agenda.
"We have solicited 200 gallons of paint to re-do the clubstand and this is a part of an ongoing effort to improve the look of Caymanas Park," concluded the noted owner and breeder. Entertainment will be provided by Digicel Rising Star winner, Verlando Small, and Jerry D.
