Cogle gets top job
Roger Cogle is now managing director for RBC Royal Bank Jamaica.
The banking veteran has 20 years of experience across various parts of the banking industry, including retail and small business banking, commercial banking and marketing.
He started working at RBC as market head for personal banking in February 2012. Cogle previously worked at Scotiabank in several roles, including assistant general manager retail banking and director for the English Caribbean region. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales/University of Manchester and a BSc in management studies from the University of the West Indies.
Duggan digs into new board role
Professor Evan Duggan was appointed to the board of directors of NCB Insurance Company on September 12, the bank announced on Wednesday.
Duggan is the dean of social sciences at UWI Mona, and is on the board of ICT University in Louisiana, United States.
Prior to entering academia, Duggan worked at Alcan Jamaica for 25 years in the information technology area.
New head for UWI business school
Dr Densil Williams is the new executive director for the Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) at the University of the West Indies, and has also been recently appointed a professor.
Williams was previously a senior lecturer of international business at the business school and previous head of the Management Studies Department.
He replaces Paul Simmonds who was the first executive director for MSBM, which was created from the merger of Mona School of Business and the Department of Management Studies in September 2012.
