THE EDITOR, Sir:
I was shocked and confused by some of the assertions contained in Mr Ian Boyne's article 'Ding-dong battle for JLP leadership' (Sunday, October 27, 2013).
In one of his assertions, Mr Boyne stated: "... And when you talk about effectiveness in use of social media, Audley's camp is light years ahead."
While Mr Boyne is entitled to his own opinion, he is not entitled to his own facts.
I would like to remind Mr Boyne that it was Mr Shaw who stated publicly his disregard for social media by stating that he "will not lead from Twitter or Facebook".
Mr Shaw's disregard for social media is evident in the statistics.
The statistics that we have on Mr Holness' social media presence when compared to Mr Shaw's demonstrates clear inaccuracies in Mr Boyne's assertions.
I stand ready to provide Mr Boyne with these statistics if he so desires. I ask Mr Boyne, based on these statistics, who is really light years ahead?
