On a balmy fall evening, Jamaican 400-metre runner Sanjay Ayre married the love of his life, Alisha McClinton, in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the Potomac River in National Harbor, Maryland - just a stone's throw away from the United States White House. The ceremony was classy and elegant, and the space was filled with love as the couples' family and friends were all there to witness the beginning of their new life together.
Following the ceremony, guests were escorted on to the terrace for a closer look at the beautiful view of the National Harbor while enjoying cocktails, light music, and delicious Maryland crab dip. The couple and wedding party stole away to capture the moment as the sun set on the pier.
After the cocktail hour, the wedding party and guests made their way into the reception space, lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, letting the magnificent view of the National Harbor inside.
The couple made their grand entrance, cheered on by family and friends from all over the world who made the trip to be a part of the celebration. The beaming couple entered dancing in step to I Choose You by American hip hop group U.G.K. and then had their slow dance to A Couple of Forevers by Chrisette Michelle.
Guests were given another treat as Sanjay danced Beres Hammond's Rockaway, with his stepmother.
The food was catered by Wolfgang Puck, and offered guests their choice of slow-braised beef short ribs, miso-glazed black cod, and marinated portobello mushroom 'steak'. Shortly after dinner, the party began and the dance floor was filled all night as guests celebrated with the new couple.
It was a magical evening that will be remembered for years to come.
