Why was no one nabbed in police seizure?

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am amused that our police and politicians are still of the belief that we are all dumb and blind when it comes to the way they try to cover up their failures.

While I am happy to know of the recovery of the warheads and other finds at our port, I am confused as to how the authorities have failed to have the person of interest in custody.

Every item shipped into the country must have a pick-up point and a sender, and it must also have a party here to collect it. After making the find, why publish it before the person or persons to whom it was sent came to pick it up?

While I do not know how the investigation went, I believe they could have apprehended someone in relation to the find. With such a large seizure and the indication of its use, I think there is more to the story than what we have been told.
