Juvenile charged for lottery scam

Detectives from St Elizabeth yesterday arrested and charged a juvenile in connection with the multimillion-dollar lottery scam. Two persons were earlier charged in relation to the same incident.

According to Police reports on December 2, 2013, two persons were arrested and charged with breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act 2013.

The Police carried out further investigations and charged the juvenile with knowingly possessing identity information of a person and obtaining property by means of false pretence.

All three persons are scheduled to appear before the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on December 9.

The identity of the teen is being withheld.
