Alleged former Shower Posse leader, Richard 'Storyteller' Morrison, who was extradited to the United States in 1991 under controversial circumstances, has slapped the Jamaican Government with a lawsuit.

He is seeking millions of dollars in damages for the 22 years he spent in American prisons.

Morrison, who was deported to Jamaica in January after serving his sentence, is seeking to recover damages for negligence and breach of his constitutional rights.

The minister of justice and the attorney general have been named as defendants in the suit filed by attorney-at-law Patrick Bailey in the Supreme Court.
