Saint CEO Deiwght Peters recently indicated that several leading casting directors and model agents from New York, Milan, Paris, and London have declared their interest in forming closer alliances with his Saint International Jamaican outfit.

Peters' revelation comes on the heels of his model Kai Newman being named among the world's top 10 New Faces in October.

Shena Moulton, Trissan Holder, Korey Rowe, Brad Allen and Sam Taylor continue to fly high in New York, Amsterdam, London, and South Africa.

The fashion guru revealed exclusively to The Gleaner that the Avant Garde Fashion Face Weekend will host the most judges ever assembled for any model competition in Jamaica.

While refusing to divulge any names at this time, Peters noted that one major agency director from Paris and Milan has already purchased his ticket to Kingston for the event, scheduled for March 14-16, 2014.

solidified connections

According to Peters, he has solidified his connections with the casting team from the legendary French luxury house of Hermes, whom he has known for more than four years.

In October, Peters was a special guest of model agent powerhouse and her STORM Models London team at the agency's fabled London headquarters.

The respected agency director, who famously discovered legendary supermodel Kate Moss (and still represents her to this day), expressed interest in a face-to-face with the Saint boss to discuss a high-profile project (Peters refuses to disclose) that will be done in the Caribbean.

"Sarah Doukas has always been one of the people I have the highest regards for in the business, so when she requested the meeting in London, I was honoured," the Saint boss said.

Several Saint models are represented by STORM, including the agency's top models, Moulton and Taylor.

"I look forward to an even closer relationship with this fashion icon," Peters said.

Doukas' legendary eye is also central to the career of the present supermodel-of-the-moment, Cara Delevigne (Vogue, Cover Girl, Fendi, and Donna Karan campaigns, and a Twitter following of 2.5 million).

"High fashion is an extremely competitive arena and you have to deliver at the most superlative levels to gain credibility and respect from your peers," explained Peters.

"So for several consecutive seasons we were providing talent who would be walking the most prestigious runways and following up in top-end editorials and campaigns," he said.

Saint enjoys the enviable position of being the only Caribbean agency to be featured twice in the powerful V Magazine and V-Man magazines as being among the best agencies in the world.

Such august features elevated the local agency to a formerly unclaimed realm for any Caribbean model management agency.

Saint models have been given face time by some of the world's most prestigious clients, including Miu Miu (by Miuccia Prada) Gucci, Dolce and Gabanna, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Victoria's Secret, Teen Vogue, Yves St Laurent, Jil Sander, Calvin Klein, D Squared, Hugo Boss, Kenneth Cole, and Benetton, just to name a few.
