High note for deCarteret in 'All Together Sing' win

Published: Wednesday | December 11, 2013 Comments 0

As a former head boy of deCarteret College (DC), I would like to extend heartiest congratulations to my alma mater on being crowned the winners of TVJ's 'All Together Sing' choir competition on Sunday evening.

This win is long in coming, and a well deserved one for DC, as our involvement in this competition has seen us being placed second on the two occasions we entered the competition, the first being in 2009 when our sister school Black River High placed first, and in 2011 when we were outdone by Ardenne High School.

I hope that this victory will heighten school spirit, motivate alumni like myself to continue to serve our school in whatever location and vocation we may be, and demonstrate that by constant work, prayer, repeated effort and dedication, we show the nation and the world that at deCarteret College, we are always building.
