THE ANGELS Grove Citizens' Association is working feverishly to make the holiday season special for its children and neighbouring communities.

Hundreds of children will be feted on December 21 at a treat organised by community, in collaboration with member of parliament for St Catherine North Central, Natalie Neita Headley.

The treat will be held on the community's football field and children will get the opportunity to enjoy themselves on rides, all day, and gifts will be distributed.

President of the Angels Grove Citizens' Association, Melrose Johnson King, told The Gleaner the event will help to promote increased social interaction among residents from different, but nearby communities.

The association is also organising a carol service, featuring the true meaning of Christmas for children and adults, on December 15.

King said the carol service will be followed by an exciting youth production, led by the comm-unity's Fusion Performance Arts group. The production will involve performances in music, dance and drama.

As part of the final activity being staged for the children during the holiday season, the Angels Grove Citizens' Assoc-iation is planning to have the youngsters to enjoy a plethora of rides and games.

This will be organised on the football field, next to the community centre, December 24.
