New Millionaire Entertainment, which recently signed international reggae artiste Sanchez, released the music video for his new single, Him Buy You A Drink. The video is unique in a number of respects but one of the characters stands out even more.
Love and Hip Hop star Erica Pinkett is featured in the video.
Him Buy You A Drink was produced by Sanchez on his own Sanmonik Records and distributed by New Millionaire Entertainment and according to the artiste, known for songs like Never Dis Di Man and Frenzy, his new single is quickly becoming another anthem for the ladies.
The video for Him Buy You A Drink was shot at the Pisces Night Club in Atlanta, United States and features a star-studded cast of beautiful ladies.
According to Pinkett, she is a huge fan of reggae music and was delighted to be a part of the project.
"As a lover of reggae music, it was a great opportunity and a pleasure to have a role in Sanchez's music video. I am not only a Sanchez fan but a believer of the lyrics to the single, Him Buy You A Drink," said Pinkett.
The up-tempo hook on the song is believed to be catchy and according to Pinkett, the timing for the song is right and the concept will appeal to women since they can relate to the storyline.
"We can definitely relate. These men will buy you a drink and expect to be with you all night, like give me a break" Pinkett added.
The video sees Sanchez, the protagonist, drawing attention to some of the uncomfortable situations women are placed in when men believe they are in control because they are spending their money.
In heavy rotation in Jamaica and the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Europe, Africa and the United States, Him Buy You a Drink pokes fun at men for their sometimes controlling habits, while pointing to the capacity of women to be self-reliant.
