Former Jampro boss returns to franchise model

Sancia Bennett Templer, the former president of Jampro, Jamaica's investment promotions agency, has opened a Cellaris phone accessory store in Manor Park, St Andrew. Cellaris is a United States-based franchise and represents a return for Templer to the area of franchise stores. From 1990 to 1991, she was managing director of Bathroom Interiors, a bathroom renovation company which was part of an international franchise agreement.

Boothe gets new office

Brian Boothe, senior assistant general manager at National Commercial Bank's corporate banking division, is to be promoted to the role of acting general manager at the end of this month. He will take over from Marjorie Seeberan, who is retiring from her role as general manager.

KLE director quits

Patrick McDonald has resigned as a director of the KLE Group with effect from December 15, 2013. He has also resigned as member of the audit committee. In a note to the Jamaica Stock Exchange, KLE said McDonald's resignation from the audit committee was in no way related to any disagreement in respect of accounting principles, the financial statement disclosure or any other material issue impacting the committee. McDonald is a partner at the law firm Hart Muirhead Fatta in Kingston.

Watson leaves Honey Bun

Paul Watson, the former head of manufacturing has left pastry maker Honey Bun Limited as of December 11, 2013. Watson took on the role in 2011 and was responsible for production and product development. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant for the company and has more than 25 years experience in the baking industry.
