Queen guitarist endures cancer tests

Brian May has undergone several tests for cancer over the festive period.

The 66-year-old guitarist, who had knee replacement earlier this year, has taken to his website to reveal he has been suffering from agonising pain in his back over the past few weeks and it turned so bad he was urged to go for MRI scans to make sure he didn't have cancer.

The Queen legend had his final test yesterday but before said, he was "cautiously optimistic" the doctors won't find anything cancerous.

Since revealing the news, Brian, who is married to former EastEnders actress Anita Dobson, has been inundated with messages of goodwill, and he took to his website to thank his fans for their support.

Adele learns from embattled celebrity chef

Adele is to have a private cookery lesson from Nigella Lawson.

The Rolling in the Deep hitmaker will team up with the celebrity TV chef next year after her 13-month-old son Angelo's 'godfairies' gave her the baking master class as a Christmas present.

The 25-year-old singer has become such a fan of Nigella's that she has been religiously following her Christmas turkey in brine recipe, as well as cooking up delicious edible decorations.

Meanwhile, Nigella has had a tough time over the last year, including splitting from her husband Charles Saatchi, hitting the headlines for her alleged drug abuse, and being caught up in a legal battle with her former nannies Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo, who were cleared of defrauding the former couple.

The couple are expected to wed at the Duke's Hampshire estate, Stratfield Saye, southern England, with celebrity guests already rumoured to include singing legend Sir Elton John, who helped launch James' career by offering him the support act slot on his 2004 tour.

James, 36, began dating Sofia at the start of 2012 after his sister Daisy introduced them.
