Christians shouldn't judge unbelievers

Published:Wednesday | August 6, 2014 | 8:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

In reference to the current homosexuality debate, please allow me space to say that the Scriptures instruct Christians that they should not judge unbelievers. Unbelievers are referred to as 'those outside' the Church.

Christians can make prophetic judgement on society, but they have no jurisdiction over unbelievers. Only God has the authority to judge unbelievers.

The Christian responsibility is to win unbelievers over to Christ; not to use angry, hateful and vitriolic languages to coerce them to Christianity.
