'Out and bad' gays spark rage

Published:Tuesday | August 12, 2014 | 8:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

What guest columnist Patrick White ('Why the obsession with gays?', Sunday Gleaner, August 10, 2014) perceives to be obsession is reaction.

Unlike Dr Alan Turing, who was cited by Mr White, these 'gays' are in your face and are pushing for human rights. Sodomy is an old issue (let's not use ambiguous terms). The actions are what conservative-minded individuals react to. The overly showy behaviour in public. If I am overly heterosexual, people would have issues with it. Homosexuals have been around for a very long time. There was no 'obsession' or excessive reaction from people. Now that the demeanour is 'out and bad', it will generate more attention.

Which of Newton's laws was it that talked about every action ... ?
