Open Golden Spring Health Centre
THE EDITOR, Sir:
This is an open letter to Dr Fenton Ferguson, the minister of health.
I humbly suggest that the Golden Spring Health Centre, which has been recently built at significant cost, be officially opened for its utility to the public, which it is intended to serve.
While it sits there unoccupied, the residents of the community, in a recent meeting, accepted that the facility invariably has accrued a maintenance cost, which is climbing.
As we await the tender process preparatory to the award of a contract to equip the clinic, we urge that you open consultation with a view to opening the new centre and utilise material and equipment from the old health facility in the urgent interest of meeting the needs of the people.
