Team Jamaica dominates at CAREBACO

Team Jamaica dominated the opening session of yesterday's final day of competition at the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation (CAREBACO) championships which is being held at the University of Technology.

In Under-17 singles, Shane Wilson and Esther Reynolds were crowned boys' and girls' champions, respectively.

In the boys' Under-15 competition, Joel Angus took the top title, while among the girls, Taina Daley was the runner-up and Karie Dawson earned a bronze medal.

Zane Reid was the Under-13 boys' champion and Shezelle McTyson took the girls' title.

The Under-11 girls' singles champion was Rhianna Rust who won over Jade Thomas.

In the doubles events, Shane Wilson and Dejon Wright won the boys' Under-17 category while Alana Bailey and Esther Reynolds topped the girls' division.

In boys' Under-15 doubles the winners were Joel Angus and Rhys Reid while Taina Daley and Shezelle McTyson captured the girls' title. The Under-13 boys' doubles title went to Zane Reid and Adam Taylor.

The Under-17 mixed doubles title went to Alana Bailey and Shane Wilson, and in the Under-15 category, the winners were Taina Daley and Joel Angus.

In Under-13 mixed doubles, the champions were Shezelle McTyson and Adam Taylor, while the Under-11 title went to Jade Thomas and Matthew Robinson.
