Bigging up Gleaner delivery man

Published:Saturday | August 30, 2014 | 12:00 AM

The Gleaner is celebrating a milestone of 180 years of existence and has stood out as one of the indispensable institutions in the development of our country.

This certainly would not have been possible without the workers who have contributed immeasurably in keeping the Old Lady of North Street going over the years.

I want to pay tribute to one of the delivery men, Sidney Hewitt, who provides the newspaper in the Waterloo Road

Mr Hewitt has always been courteous and attentive and has not missed a single day's delivery to our residence over the past two years.

There is absolutely no doubt that in this worker, The Gleaner has struck pure gold.

Long may you continue to inspire, entertain and to challenge.
