IT will be a clash of former champions when 2012 winners, Mico Masters, battle Domtar Sports Club in the final of the Wray & Nephew Overproof Masters T20 cricket final today at Kensington Park starting at 2 p.m.

A close battle is expected as both teams are coming off impressive semi-final wins last Sunday.

Mico had a nine-wicket win over St Thomas while Domtar, the 2013 champions, defeated the previously unbeaten Wray Stars by 69 runs.

The finalists will be meeting for the second time this season. In a recent preliminary match, Mico easily got the better of Domtar by eight wickets in a game reduced to 15 overs because of rain.

HARDER TASK

This time around, however, the task for Mico will be much harder. Earlier, Domtar were without two of their top players, Delroy Morgan and Wayne Cuff. Morgan is in brilliant form. He scored a century in his team's sem-final win and will be hoping to extend his good form. He should get support from Cuff along with Marlon Keating, and Junior Ricketts while Mark English and Dave Harris are expected to be the top bowlers for Domtar.

Mico will look to the consistent duo of Carl Brissett and Orville Pennant while skipper Michael Donegal is also in good form. Their bowling attack will be led by Solomon Derby, Christopher Flemmings and Calvin Mc Kenzie.
