Sweet Plan off-limits to postpaid clients

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am writing with an update following the letter printed in this paper on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from Digicel customer, Sharmica Holness, in Mandeville.

Having investigated the issue, we realised Ms Holness holds what we label a 'hybrid' or 'dual' account and is not pure prepaid customer. Hybrid or dual customers are predominantly postpaid customers with an optional prepaid side. In addition, they cannot subscribe to the $2.89 Sweet Plan, as this is solely for Digicel's pure prepaid customers. Hybrid or dual customers can, however, avail of Brawta Plan prepaid rates. The reason for this is that postpaid customers are already getting tremendous value with rates as low as $1 per minute.

I am happy to report that Ms Holness was delighted to hear from us and, furthermore, is now getting the most from her Digicel account suited to her specific needs.
