Heartbreak as thieves snatch music records

Published:Tuesday | September 16, 2014 | 9:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir: Between Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11, 2014, thieves broke into the Enfield, St Mary, home of my father, Mark Banton, owner of a 1957 London sound system, the Mighty Merritone, and stole his entire record collection.

My father, now 82, has said that it is as if his "heart has been ripped" from his body.

The family is asking/appealing to the press and radio stations to request the return of these records. The sentimental value they hold cannot be expressed.

A reward is being offered.

Should you require any further information, please contact me on UK +447976-895-676 or Mr Seymour Stewart, attorney-at-law, Jamaica, 876-357-1516.
