Essay competition opens for primary school children

ORGANISERS OF the Caribbean Child Research Conference 2014 are inviting primary and preparatory school students to participate in their essay competition.

The essay topic, 'What can we do to improve the lives of children with disabilities?' is open to students between age eight and 12. The essay should be no longer than 750 words.

According to the organisers of the conference which will be held in November, all essays must be written by the children themselves with original content. Plagiarism will not be accepted.

The submission should have the child's full name, grade, school, teacher and teacher's contact information. Essays can be submitted by email to childconferenceresearch@gmail.com or sent to Primary Schools Essay Competition, c/o SALISES, Faculty of Social Sciences, Mona campus, UWI. The deadline for submission is October 1. Awards will be given to the best 10 essays.
