None so blind as Fenton Ferguson

THE EDITOR, Sir: It appears as if the Government is on a public-relations campaign to save face with the outbreak of the chikungunya virus by comforting themselves with the '35 confirmed cases' and not trying ardently to contain the disease's spread.

With 113 deaths from this virus in the Caribbean, I implore the minister of health to act more diligently, as there are hundreds of Jamaicans (though unconfirmed) with this virus. It also begs the question of whether the Government is prepared to competently fight more fatal diseases.
