Melbourne hunt third victory

Jon-Ross Campbell, captain of Melbourne CC, said yesterday that his team will not be taking Lucas CC lightly ahead of their third-round Jamaica Cricket Association 50-Overs Tournament clash at Nelson Oval today starting at 9:30 a.m.

Melbourne, the reigning title holders, have won two of two while Lucas are seeking their first victory.

"The guys have been doing well so far as we have a hundred per cent win record," said Campbell.

"We however will not be going into the match taking anything for granted, despite Lucas losing their two, and we intend to play hard cricket, as they could have a player or two who turn up on the day and make life difficult for us."

The clash will be the only one being played today with the zone's other two matchups, as well as games in the three other zones to be played tomorrow.
