Lousy job in chik-V fight

Published:Tuesday | September 30, 2014 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir: I believe that the Ministry of Health is not doing enough to combat this terrible and dreadful disease, chikungunya. The ministry should have health personnel in every parish conducting tests and issuing the recommended medications free of cost to fight this monster. Yes, free of cost.

Any government, whether in the First World or Third World, that cares about its people would get up and do something about a serious similar situation like this. Too often, Government, whether formed by the Jamaica Labour Party or the People's National Party, just talks and points fingers at each other, trying to gain points for the next election.

Please, Madam Prime Minister, wake up those who are sleeping and let's get working to rescue and save our people.
