MVP treatment for LIME customers this Christmas

Telecoms company LIME has made an early start for the upcoming festive season, with the launch of its latest promotion that will see customers winning a share of US$100,000, including a lucky winner receiving an all-inclusive trip for two to New York City to celebrate New Year's Eve in true 'MVP' style.

The company's 'Win Like an MVP' Christmas promotion will see 10 weekly winners of US$1,000 cash each, with all entrants standing a chance to win the Big Apple trip valued at more than US$10,000.

According to Carlo Redwood, LIME's vice-president of marketing, the company is giving its customers a premium opportunity to enhance their Christmas celebrations.

"We also decided to get started this early because we know persons like to plan long in advance, and so, based on the way we have designed the promotion, persons will be able to get their cash in hand before December 24," he said.

"We're always looking for new ways of providing more for our customers, and so Christmas time gives us an opportunity to upgrade the great value we offer year-round with something special," he added.

Redwood further highlighted that the grand prize winner would be provided with first-class air travel, luxury accommodation and transportation while in New York and, of course, cash to facilitate shopping in the city that never sleeps.

Commenting on LIME's decision to offer winnings in US currency, Redwood explained, "Like our value-based plans and services, US dollars are very appealing, because it, too, has accelerating value. To customers, this means stronger buying power, similar to the feeling they have whenever they choose any of our voice and mobile Internet plans."

New and existing LIME customers will also get the opportunity to share in the prizes when they top up with a minimum of $200 or activate any 30-day prepaid mobile Internet plan.
