Sixteen invitees have been confirmed for the Post-to-Post Superstakes which will mark its 36th running at Caymanas Park over 2000 metres on Saturday, November 8 for a purse of $4.5 million.

Present are the three best distance horses in the country - TYPEWRITER who won the rich and prestigious mile and quarter race last year for trainer Spencer Chung, the 2013 runners-up PERFECT NEIGHBOUR from the stables of champion trainer Wayne DaCosta and the Everal Francis-trained COMMANDNG CHIEF, who has beaten both this season.

All three have won in recent months and should ensure an interesting contest. PERFECT NEIGHBOUR won his final prep, the mile ad quarter Governor's General Stakes by 11/2 lengths from topweight COMMANDING CHIEF on October 11, but was in receipt of 5.0kg then. Net Saturday, both will sit level with 57.0kg, along with TYPEWRITER.

Completing the list of invitees are:

ALL CORRECT, CLASSY PROSPECT, EXOTIC GOLD, AMICABLE, HOLOGRAM SHADOW, HOVER CRAFT, MILITARY MOVE, MIRACLE STAR, RED FLAG, ROYAL VIBES, TIMEFORARMS, UNCLE TAF and the progressive three-year-old colt FRANFIELD.

Since its inception in 1978 when it was won by the legendary LEGAL LIGHT with leading all-time jockey Winston Griffiths for Hall of Fame trainer Kenneth Mattis who died recently, some truly outstanding horses have followed suit.

The list is headed by the Azan-trained MENUDO, who won four consecutive Superstakes from 1999 to 2002, THE VICEROY who won it three times, as well as MIRACLE MAN, MARK MY WORD, D'S A LEGEND, PRINCE CONSORT, SIR HOWARD, KAZ HOSHAY and the Trinidadian horse, BAREE BAHIN, for the late T&T trainer Eric 'Colt' Durant in 1986.
