Petrojam had better not hike prices

The National Democratic Movement (NDM) is calling on Petrojam not to increase the price of fuels again. On November 6, 2014, petrol prices were increased despite the facts:

1. Fuel prices have been decreasing worldwide for the last seven weeks.

2. The Jamaica-US exchange rate has remained stable for the last seven weeks.

Last week's increase by Petrojam was dishonest, unreasonable, uncaring and with total disregard for the present suffering that the Jamaican people have been experiencing over the period of the current International Monetary Fund agreement.

Once again, the NDM is asking for a public audit of Petrojam and its rapacious pricing system.
