Conscious win in Insports Community Football League

CONSCIOUS Unit defeated Positive Vibes 4-1 as the 2014-2015 Institute of Sports (INSPORTS) All-Island Community League Football Championship for the parishes of Kingston and St Andrew at EXED Community College playing field last Sunday.

Oran Campbell (23rd, 66th) led Conscious Unit with two goals, while Omar Brown (5th) and Keiron Walsh (60th) were the other scorers (60th). Lamar Freckleton netted for Positive Vibes in the 75th minute.

Selassie Youth and West Side United ran out 2-0 winners. Goals from Ken Ross (55th) and Raheem Stone (67th) gave Selassie Youth victory over Delacree Lane, while Jevaughn Baker and Sadekie Daley netted for West Side in the 18th and 78th minutes, respectively, in their shootout against Hagley Park.

Cookhorn Lane clipped Cooreville Gardens FC 2-1 through goals from Kevin Madden (20th) and Garfield Blair (26th). Dexter McKain (41st) scored for Cooreville.

Angel Magic also earned a 2-1 win over Road Runner, with goals from Kervis Clarke (third) and Damiani Lewis (70th). Clinton Stewart (46th) scored for the losers.

Close 3-2 win

Two goals from Adoni Nelson (3rd, 16th) and one from Sean Cox gave Amy Jacques a close 3-2 win over Vision United, whose goals were scored by Adonija McDermott (18th) and Kimani White (53rd).

Pear Tree Hill and Dunrobin FC played to a goalless draw, while Ayshire and Zim Strikers also ended 0-0.

Meanwhile, action also continued in the St Thomas leg, at three venues Eastern Banana (Goodyear Oval, Cotton Tree playing field and Spring Village playing field) last Sunday. The results were: St Thomas Police crushed Sea Front 6-1, Green Hill whipped Pear Tree River 5-1, Dalvey tagged Duckenfield 3-0, Spring Gardens clipped White Horses 2-1, and Dumfries edged Rove Strikers 2-1.

The competition continues tomorrow with matches in Kingston and St Andrew, and St Thomas at several venues, starting at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
