Arguably the busiest retail shopping day of the year in the USA, Black Friday is usually celebrated on the Friday following Thanksgiving with sought-after stores such as Sears, Best Buy, Macy's, Toys 'R' Us, Walmart, and Target opening as early as midnight and giving huge discounts to kick off the Christmas shopping season.

While it is not an official holiday, many workers have the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday, and in many cities, thousands of shoppers make long queues as early as 5 a.m. to be the first few inside the stores to grab at big-ticket items now heavily discounted. On occasion, injuries and even fatalities are reported.

Of course, anyone wishing to get great bargains before Christmas would be hard-pressed to stay away from the Black Friday madness, but you can - with the help of credit cards and couriers.

Forget the hassle of joining throngs of shoppers in laborious lines; forget making a mad dash for those to-die-for shoes; and don't even blink an eye at having to eat lunch in the long check-out lines.

Now, you can do your shopping from the comfort of your home and simply add the items you want to a virtual basket.
