Spanish Town Titans captain Danza Hyatt is confident that his team has what it takes to beat Mandeville Thunders and with it book the automatic spot in the final of the Jamaica Premier League Twenty20.
The two are slated to meet at Chedwin Park today in one of three games in the final set of preliminary round matches in the tournament.
The others are Montego Bay Sixers versus Kingston Hurricanes at Kensington Park, and Ocho Chargers and the University Dynamites at Melbourne Oval.
All matches are slated to start at noon.
SPANISH TOWN AHEAD
Spanish Town lead the round robin preliminary round standings with nine points, the same as second-place Ocho Rios Chargers, who have an inferior net run rate.
Mandeville Thunders on eights points are next in third, while in fourth and fifth are Montego Bay Sixers and University Dynamites, who also have eight points.
Kingston Hurricanes, on four points, round off the table.
"It is a very important game for us, and the aim is to go out there, and execute well," said Hyatt.
"We lost our first game of the tournament last week, but all of that is behind us now.
"We simply need to beat Mandeville, and if we do that we should take the automatic spot to the final."
