Jamaica take control in T&T

Jamaica Franchise, leading by 42 on first innings, were 92 for four in their second innings at the close of the second day of their third-round match in the WICB Professional Cricket League against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Queen's Park Oval yesterday.
Pacers Sheldon Cottrell and Marquino Mindley, five for 52 and two for 28, respectively, and spinner Damian Jacobs, two for three, sliced through the Red Force innings when the Trinidadians resumed on 59 for five yesterday.
Imran Khan, who bagged six for 52 on the first day, was the top Red Force batsman with 26.
Batting a second time, Jamaica extended their lead to 134 going into today's third day. Shacaya Thomas led the way for the Jamaica Franchise with a solid 46 while André McCarthy who fell for zero in the first innings made 21. Captain Tamar Lambert will resume today on 20 with nightwatchman Jacobs still to score. Bowling for the Red Force, Daniel St Clair has taken two for 25.

At Guyana's National Sta-dium: Barbados Pride, replying to Guyana Jaguars first innings of 261, were 33 for two at the close on the rain-hit second day.
