Stop secularising Christmas
THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is with great displeasure that I write concerning an increasingly popular trend among some entities in their advertising and products. It's a noticeable effort to cater to the decaying values and morals of the society with an intent to bring increasingly secular values into our nation.
This trend is particularly noted in a growing tendency among various companies, to avoid the mentioning of Christ's name in Christmas. One such entity which I have been taking particular notice of is the Burger King chain, with its new 'Merry Sweet-mas' promotion.
I would just like to make it publicly known, on behalf of several Jamaicans, that this secularist agenda, whether subtle or explicit, is not welcome in our nation.
