Market at the Lawn

Market at the Lawn was the best of both worlds when it came to shopping and family fun. The postponement of the scheduled start two weeks ago, as a result of the rain, appeared to have people coming out in double-fold last Sunday.
The sidewalk leading into Devon House was filled with tots hanging on to the arms of their parents, eager to get a taste of what awaited on the inside.
The lengthy wait did not, however, dampen the mood of patrons as there were so many things on display for everyone to enjoy. There were gazebos filled with everything from toys to jewellery and household supplies. The event showcased some of our local talents, highlighting jewellery by Annrue Designs and a few others, along with the fashion from local designer Courtney Washington, and art from Peter Peart.
Parents did not have to worry about children getting bored as they could always take them to the bounceabouts to burn some of their energy or get their face painted. Of course, the regular Devon House treats were also available.
Wishing you had gone? You are still in luck as Market at the Lawn will be on every Sunday until December 21 from 10 a.m. through to 6 p.m.
