Parliament to host Chinese official

The Parliament of Jamaica will host Zhang Baowen, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, when he visits the island next week. Baowen's visit is a part of the effort to promote cooperation between the legislative bodies of Jamaica and the People's Republic of China and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Baowen will be accompanied by a delegation from the National People's Congress and will be in the island from January 15-16.
